Variables
Forster's Tern
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 6%
wetlands and wet shrubland. Somewhat less likely where less wetlands
and wet shrubland and then mainly if more than 5% of the hexagon has
lakes/reservoirs, or less area of lakes/reservoirs but with July
precipitation (hex. med.) of 5-11 mm. The logistic regression analysis
showed positive or negative association with elevation (hex. avg.),
topographic variation, lakes/reservoirs, wetlands and wet shrubland,
and-to a lesser degree-the extent of public land, April minimum
temperature (hex. med.), and May minimum temperature (hex. avg.).
